Local Area and Attractions
Located on the coast of the East Riding of Yorkshire, Bridlington is approximately 17 miles from Scarborough, 65 miles from Leeds, 29 miles from Hull and 44 miles from York. Bridlington offers holiday-makers a more relaxed and less crowded alternative to Scarborough with the same (although more cultured) level of entertainment and attractions
Sewerby House and Gardens
Open to the public between April and September. Attractions include tea rooms, gardens and a zoo for the children. Located approximately 1 mile from Bridlington, Sewerby House offers a complete day out.
The Spa Theatre
A short walk along the promenade from the Bay Ridge. This recently refurbished Victorian theatre has a capacity of just under 1000 and regularly offers patrons an evenings entertainment, such as a concert with Oasis or an evening with Jimmy Carr.
Bridlington Leisure World
A great day indoors for the entire family. As well as swimming pools complete with wave machines and slides, the complex also boasts a 1930s theatre and a multi-purpose hall that is traditionally home to the Bridlington indoor bowls association from September to March.
Bridlington Harbour
Located on the East Yorkshire coast, Bridlington is both a holiday resort and fishing port. Trawlers bring their catch of fish to Bridlington, where it is loaded onto refrigerated lorries for its journey to the various fish markets. The harbour houses private yachts, private fishing boats, speed-boats, privately owned pleasure craft and the Yorkshire Belle.
